Since our thoughts create so much of our reality, many spiritual teachers preach the importance of having a peaceful mind. While there is immense wisdom in this teaching, it can bypass our body-based emotional truth, which under the stress of life’s challenges, is often far from peaceful.
When life circumstances assault your heart, negative, angry, and fearful thoughts rise-up. Thus, one of the most effective ways to create peaceful thoughts is not by insisting upon them, but by restoring the heart to peace.
A peaceful heart creates a peaceful mind.
